The Finnish school in Budapest was opened up in March 2000. The school is financed by the Association of Finnish People in Hungary, supported by the Finnish Ministry of Education and annual tuition fees.
The school is operated in the building of the Embassy of Finland.Courses are run once a week on Sunday , for two lessons.
Children have lessons in three groups. The skills of Finnish teachers and the small groups are a guarantee for taking the individual development of each child into consideration. If necessary, they can help in the development of speaking skills, etc. The school has a library, too. The curriculum for each group features familiarisation with Finnish traditions, nature, and environment. Celebrations and excursions together create a marvellous atmosphere, provide opportunities for performances, and strengthen the sense of belonging together. You can get to know the feeling of joy and being together at the Finnish school.
