The Embassy of Finland in Budapest is looking for a part-time cleaner

The Embassy of Finland in Budapest is looking for a part-time cleaner. The working hours are 20 hours per week. The contract of employment starts as soon as possible.

Job description

The tasks include:

  • Cleaning and household work in the premises of the Embassy of Finland in Budapest, including mainly the public spaces and kitchens of the chancellery, staircases and recreational areas of the residential areas and the guest apartment of the Embassy.
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and waxing floors; dusting other surfaces; cleaning and disinfecting lavatories and sauna areas, and cleaning domestic appliances.
  • Some of the work is daily, some of it periodic.
  • Coordination of work to be done with another part-time cleaner of the Embassy.
  • Other assignments required by the supervisor.

Qualifications and experience

  • Prior experience of corresponding duties is required.
  • Knowledge of current cleaning methods and materials is important, as well as knowledge of safe handling of standard cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team, follow instructions and possess the ability to work mostly unsupervised.
  • Flexibility as for working hours is beneficial.
  • Command of English is an asset.

Staff recruited locally by the Embassy of Finland in Budapest are subject to terms and conditions of service according to local Hungarian employment law.
